Rangers at The Royal

And so The Royal Cornwall Show is over for another year...and this time the North Cornwall Countryside team had their part to play on the National Trust stand.

The whole theme of the stand was promoting our aims to get our visitors and supporters outdoors and closer to nature. Activities such as camping, cycling, walking and various watersports were all represented with the Ranger team's display. We also offered wildlife activities for the kids, new volunteering opportunities and a host of other info!

The main draws to the stand were the presence of Bella, the Trust's own 1972 VW Campervan ('a van load of passion!), and a vitual bike race challenge which provoked some seriously competitive behaviour! The chill-out zone was as popular as it was at Glastonbury Festival last year - a bean-bag haven to escape from the bustle of the show for a while whilst listening to relaxing natural sounds on headphones!
