The Red Bull Break 5 surf competition at the National Trust beach at Sandymouth ended in one of the most exciting finals. Two teams 'The A** Bandits' from Woolacombe and 'Rip Shred' from Newquay ended the competition on 45 points each, which meant a 'Surf Off' showdown. Two people from each team had to go back into the surf and claim their best wave surfed in a 15 minute session. The lead changed hands until the last wave of the day gave the 'ride of the competition' to give 'The A** Bandits' the winners podium.
