Wild Food

We were there on the weekend! The Boscastle Food, Arts and Crafts Festival. An hours worth of foraging produced a table full of wild food which could be eaten, drunk, preserved or brewed.

Taking along 'Bella' the Trust's VW campervan with the paintwork blazing out 'a Passion for the Outdoors' it really captured the imagination of the visitors.

Chris Searle from Boscastle Chamber of Trade and Commerce, the main organisers of the event, said 'Having the Trust here with their stand has been a real attraction - we've had our best ever attendance - over 3000 people'.

Jeff Cherrington, Head Ranger, said 'This year was all about showing people what's out there, next year we'll expand on the idea and cook some of the food we forage, to give people a real taste of the outdoors'
